Deputy Mayor for Planning and Commerce Alan Greenberger is guest speaker at the Feb. 17 Fishtown Neighbors Association meeting.
Greenberger, who is also the chairman of the planning commission, will review Philadelphia 2035, the city’s new comprehensive plan, and discuss how it relates to Fishtown and the river wards in the future. The city wide comprehensive plan is expected to be unveiled at next week’s planning commission meeting. The next step will be a series of more detailed district plans.
The FNA meeting organizers suggest attendees check out Philadelphia Planning Commission Initiatives addressing the comprehensive plan, zoning, pedestrian/bicycle plan and more at www.philaplanning.org, and bring any questions for Greenberger to the meeting.
The general membership meeting starts at 7 p.m. at the Fishtown Rec Center, 1202 E. Montgomery Ave. Come at 6:30 for coffee, chat and snacks provided by Soup Kitchen Café.
