Delco District Attorney: police officer stole, sold department guns

Authorities say Delaware County police officer stole two guns from his department and sold them.

The Delaware County District Attorney’s office says 23-year-old Officer Jonathan Fiscaro swiped two rifles from the Darby Township police department and sold them for a combined $1,100. Authorities put the value of the guns at $2,000 each.
Prosecutors say one of Fiscaro’s fellow officers noticed his rifle missing on Saturday. Police soon discovered a second rifle was missing.

Investigators say Fiscaro admitted the thefts under questioning. He faces charges of theft, receiving stolen property and making false reports.

Fiscaro’s bail was set at $100,000 unsecured. It wasn’t clear if he had an attorney and a phone listing for him could not immediately be located.
