Delaware’s First Lady honored for work with children

Carla Markell will receive the 21st Century Fund for Delaware’s Children Muriel E. Gilman Award.

The award will be presented to Delaware’s First Lady at a ceremony on March 10. Mary Ball Morton, President of the 21st Century Fund’s board says, “Carla has worked tirelessly on behalf of at-risk children in the First State.” She says, “As a mentor over the last decade, she has seen first-hand how the commitment of a caring adult can make a difference in a young person’s life.”
