Delaware transportation officials hold a hearing on traffic impact studies

The Delaware Department of Transportation holds a public workshop tonight to solicit input on traffic impact study regulations.

The workshop at the Carvel state office building will be facilitated by the University of Delaware’s Institute for Public Administration.  A similar workshop was held last month at the DelDOT offices in Dover.  DelDOT has proposed revisions to standards and regulations regarding requirements for the conducting of traffic impact studies and traffic operational analysis as they relate to land use issues.  The meeting tonight will involve a presentation and an opportunity for the public to comment.  The session is being held at the Carvel State Office Building, 820 French Street in Wilmington from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  CLICK HERE to read the proposed regulations and changes.  Comments may also be submitted in writing by September 30th at the Delaware Transportation Department Division of Planning, P.O. Box 778, Dover, DE 19903.
