Delaware registry takes note of residents’ special needs before emergency response is needed

A new registry is Delaware is open to residents who may need special care when being assisted by emergency responders.

The Emergency Preparedness Voluntary Registry is available for use by residents with special needs who want to alert first responders to their circumstances before an emergency arises.

WHYY’s Mark Eichmann outlines the plan for us. It creates a database that helps identify a 9-1-1 caller’s needs and alert the proper responders.
