Delaware men arrested for stealing, selling sewer grates

If you’re going to pawn stolen goods, at least get your money’s worth. That’s a lesson Justin Holston and John Haas of Delaware learned the hard way.

Holston, 21, of Georgetown; and 20-year-old Haas of Millsboro were arrested for stealing sewer grates, charged with theft and released on $4,500 unsecured bond, the Associated Press reports. A witness tipped off authorities when the two were seen selling the grates to a salvage company.

The six grates are worth $3,000 each. Holston and Haas got $220 for the whole lot.
