Delaware honors former Lewes mayor

Governor Markell presented former Lewes Mayor Jim Ford with the state’s highest award for public service.

An appreciation day for Former Lewes Mayor Jim Ford was held on Sunday, May 18th at Canal Front Park with family, friends and many dignitaries in attendance to honor the man who served the City of Lewes for 22 years, the last 10 years as Mayor before stepping down as Mayor-elect Ted Becker takes over.

Delaware Governor Jack Markell presented Mayor Ford with the “Order of the First State” which is the States highest award for Public Service.
