Delaware holds Japan quake fund raiser

Several of Delaware’s elected officials, civic leaders, and media outlets are raising money for the state’s sister province in Japan.

Governor Jack Markell (D-DE.) will lead the group at Dover Downs for the help Miyagi fund.  Miyagi is in the zone where the March 11th quake epicenter hit Japan the hardest.  The state and the Delaware Community Foundation have set up a fund to aid quake victims.  Delmarva Broadcasting, which owns WDEL and WSTW radio along with the News Journal media group are helping to organize the event.  Donations can also be made on line.
