Delaware Governor headed to Mumbai in February

Governor Jack Markell will lead a ten-day trade mission to meet with IT business leaders in India.

Markell will speak to more than 1,500 participants at India’s National Association of Software and Services Companies’ annual Leadership Forum.  In addition to speaking to forum attendees from nearly 25 countries, Markell will also meet one-on-one with several CEOs and company chairpersons.

In a statement, Markell says, “We are leading the country in developing cyber security personnel and have much to offer a prospective company.  We want international business managers looking to locate or expand their businesses to consider locating in Delaware.”

During his frist term in office, Markell traveled to Asia and spent time in Delaware’s sister state in Japan, Miyagi Prefecture.   He also led a team of state leaders to Chile in 2011.
