Delaware democrats declared winners
Candidates still to officially declare victory
The Associated Press has declared Democrat Chris Coons the winner in the race for U.S. Senate. John Carney has been declared the winner in the race for the U.S. House.
The projections are based on exit polls. Coons fought a tough battle with Christine O’Donnell. Glen Urquhart hoped to be the republican to replace Mike Castle in the U.S. House.
WHYY.org/delaware is following the returns through the state election web site. WHYY-TV 12 will be on the air at 10pm for speeches from the democratic candidates and republican O’Donnell.
