Delaware children’s hospital creates partnership in South Jersey

A.I. duPont Hospital for Children has reached a deal to partner with South Jersey Healthcare to provide pediatric services for children in the Garden State.

As part of the agreement, Nemours Pediatric Partners will provide neonatal, pediatric and emergency care for children requiring specialized care at SJH Regional Medical Center in Vineland, NJ.  New Jersey residents will also have access to Nemours doctors and outpatient care.

CEO of Nemours/A.I. duPont Hospital Kevin Churchwell says the deal achieves the hospital’s mission of helping children grow up healthy and reach their full potential,  “By bringing neonatology and pediatric hospitalist services to children and families in their own community and making the duPont Hospital for children’s advanced pediatric care resources available when needed.”

The partnership will also extend Nemours’ integrated electronic medical record systems.  All patient information will be available to any hospital or doctor’s office within the system.  A.I. duPont Hospital in Delaware has recently garnered national attention for it implementation and beneficial use of electronic health records.  You can read more about that by clicking here.
