Delaware bond bill hearings are winding down

The Delaware General Assembly’s Joint Finance Committee is wrapping up a week of hearings on Governor Jack Markell’s recommended Bond Bill of $448-million.

Today the panel hears capital spending requests from the Department of Natural Resources, the University of Delaware, the Department of State and the Delaware National Guard.  Hearings begin at 10:00 a.m. at Legislative Hall in Dover.  The JFC also devoted several weeks of hearings to the recommended operating budget for Fiscal Year ’13, which totals $3.544-billion.  Grant-in-aid spending proposals total $40.2-million.  The General Assembly resumes its session March 13th, and the Delaware Economic and Financial Advisory Council will provide updated revenue estimates March 19th.  The fiscal year begins July 1st.
