Delaware aircraft maintenance facility ready to open

A new aircraft service facility is opening for business at the New Castle Airport.

Hawker Beechcraft Services has established its northeast regional service center at the airport south of Wilmington.  The firm received a strategic fund grant last year from the Delaware Economic Development Office.  The Hawker Beechcraft operation includes a 60,000-square-foot hangar, and expects to create 100 new full-time jobs within five years.  35 people will be working there by the end of the year.  State officials including DEDO Director Alan Levin and Governor Jack Markell are expected to take part in a ribbon-cutting at the facility.
