Travel website says a good daytrip idea is to come to Delaware

Delaware attractions are now a part of a day trip travel website that once just touted just Maryland and Virginia sites.

If a thinner wallet means you’ve traded your summer vacation for day trips, there’s a free on-line resource that can help you find your next destination.

And now, Delaware attractions are featured on “A Day’s Outing” which has been up and running since April.

Website CEO and co-founder Elizabeth Muse of Keswick, Virginia says several Delaware attractions became a part of “A Day’s Outing” last week.

You can search for a trip by entering the miles you’re willing to travel and types of places you’d like to visit. Then you’ll get a list of choices from categories including arts and culture, fairs and festivals, family and children, museums, sports and the outdoors.

Family fun spots such as the Mid-Atlantic Indoor Karting Facility in New Castle, and the par-3 golf course at Vince’s Sports Center in Newark made the list.

Muse says her kids enjoyed Winterthur’s “Enchanted Woods” children’s garden this summer.

Attractions and businesses can pay to be a part of the search results, which is the bread and butter of the website.

People can also submit places they think should be included.
