Dangerous heat, humidity continues Wednesday

    If you thought Tuesday was bad, just wait for Wednesday afternoon, as the National Weather Service has issued another excessive heat warning for the region.

    According to the NWS, Wednesday’s temperatures will hit hard in several areas of the region, including Camden, Philadelphia and parts of Delaware.

    On Wednesday, heat index values could reach around 100 by the afternoon and even higher Thursday, with the chance for it to reach 105.

    On Friday, the NWS predicts the heat index values to reach up to 110.

    The heat warning goes into effect at noon and is scheduled to continue through 8 p.m. Friday.

    This week’s temperatures can be dangerous for anyone outside for an extended period of time, especially the elderly and children.  The NWS also emphasizes you keep your pets in a cool location with plenty of water available.
