Council president race: Curtis Jones endorses Darrell Clarke

Now that we know N.J. Gov. Chris Christie isn’t running for president, let’s turn out attention back to the local scene, where our own presidential race is heating up.

The race for city council president, that is.

City Paper confirms a report by the Public Record that 4th District Councilman Curtis Jones has endorsed 5th District Councilman Darrell Clarke as the next head of council. The chosen council member will replace a retiring Anna Verna. Councilwoman Marian Tasco of the 9th District is expected to be the favored presidential candidate.
