Corbett will auction off Rendell’s state bus

Ed Rendell will soon be a thing of the past in Harrisburg. Gov. Tom Corbett isn’t just changing politics in Pennsylvania, he’s tossing Ed’s stuff.

WHYY’s Scott Detrow tells us Corbett announced today he’ll auction off Rendell’s “Government on Wheels” bus. The Associated Press reports the 41-foot motor coach traveled fewer than 26,000 miles in the last eight years, though it cost $66,000 for tax payers to maintain.Much like the state, the bus could use a few repairs. Namely, a new transmission. The bus will be sold at an upcoming Centre County auction.
