Corbett to sign Pennsylvania bath salts ban today

Bath salts are just about officially banned in Pennsylvania. Gov. Tom Corbett is expected to sign the ban into law this afternoon.

The chemicals in the synthetic drug, as well as synthetic marijuana, will be prohibited, and violators can expect to face hefty fines and prison sentences.

Corbett has a capitol ceremony scheduled for early afternoon, the Associated Press reports. More than 20 states have already passed similar bans, as have a handful of Pennsylvania cities and counties.
