Corbett shuts out media at Senate candidate’s campaing fundraiser

What did Pa. Gov. Tom Corbett say in support of Senate candidate Larry Medaglia yesterday? No one knows because the media was asked to leave the room.

Corbett stopped by Berks County yesterday to support the Republican candidate in the special election to replace deceased Sen. Michael O’Pake. But before Corbett spoke, the invited media were ushered from the ballroom, the Pottstown Mercury reports.

It’s not clear what’s behind Corbett’s decision to lock out the press since he left in a hurry, but Medaglia was left looking rather embarrassed and apologized for the situation.
