Commercial weather companies are on the rise nationally, and locally

The privatization of weather forecasting could make mainstream media forecasts obsolete, or even possibly, more accurate.

Weather Works, a privately held, New Jersey-based company, provides hyper-focused weather reports to officials at The Meadowlands, allowing for location specific updates, as opposed to regional reports.
