Violence in Philly public schools a continuing problem

    Over 4,500 violent incidents were reported in the Philadelphia school district last year, which means that over 25 acts of violence occur each day, according to a report filed today in The Inquirer.  A year-long investigation into violence in Philadelphia public schools reveals that while some types of offenses have been reduced, assaults remain a major problem.
