The opening of the long awaited President’s House Memorial Site on Independence Mall is less than two weeks away, and archaeologists are making last minute preparations to the ruins before they’re opened to the public.
KYW Newsradio reports the prep included a cleanup of the underground remains of the house, which can now be seen through a glass “vitrene” inside the structure. Visitors will have 24/7 access to the site once it opens on December 16.
