City Council talks Parks funding, defense to make its case in priest-abuse trial

    Good morning, Feeders!

Tom MacDonald is back on his post at City Council where members will discuss funding for the Parks & Rec department. He’ll also have an update on the insurance fraud plea by former Philadelphia Housing Authority insurance broker Kobie T. West.
Lizz Fiedler will have an update for us on the Archdiocese of Philadelphia priest-abuse trial. The defense will make its case starting tomorrow, just as the diocese announced over the weekend two more priests — unrelated to the trial at hand — have been found unsuitable for ministry.

Carolyn Beeler is working on two stories today. You can catch them both later, but one is about a study looking into how gender bias impact’s women’s health.

Emma Jacobs is checking into Philadelphia foreclosures following numbers released recently that show a high first quarter increase.
