City Council looks at public safety equipment, Health Department looks at Parkway food hand-outs

    Philadelphia City Council is back in session today, and the Public Works Committee will evaluate police and fire equipment safety. Tom MacDonald will have details on that, as well as a new lawsuit being announced this afternoon.

    Lizz Fiedler is working on a story about witness protection in Philadelphia, as well as one about Pennsylvania higher education funding.

    Carolyn Beeler is going to tonight’s Philadelphia Health Department meeting to hear more details about regulating food hand-outs on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.
