City Council looks at public safety equipment, Health Department looks at Parkway food hand-outs

    Good morning, Feeders!

Philadelphia City Council is back in session today, and the Public Works Committee will evaluate police and fire equipment safety. Tom MacDonald will have details on that, as well as a new lawsuit being announced this afternoon.

Lizz Fiedler is working on a story about witness protection in Philadelphia, as well as one about Pennsylvania higher education funding.

Carolyn Beeler is going to tonight’s Philadelphia Health Department meeting to hear more details about regulating food hand-outs on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

Peter Crimmins spent last night at the library, but he wasn’t reading. He’ll have details later today on how people have been connecting over their favorite reads.

And Philly is currently celebrating all things tattoo. A convention and exhibit are in town, so Peter will see what the latest trends and who’s getting inked.
