Christie wants review of teacher who made anti-LGBT comments on Facebook

When asked to comment on a North Jersey teacher who made anti-LGBT comments, Gov. Chris Christie said he’d like to see how Viki Knox acts in the classroom.

Knox became national news recently when she took to her Facebook page to say the LGBT History Monty display at the high school she teaches at furthers the “perverted spirit” of homosexuality.

Christie called her comments “disturbing,” the Star-Ledger reports, and used the opportunity to remind people he wants classroom evaluations and standardized tests to count toward teacher ratings.

Knox’s district is trying to determined if her comments violate school policy.
