Chris Christie expected-to endorse Mitt Romney for 2012 president

    Update, 4:30 p.m. “America cannot survive another four years of Barack Obama, and Mitt Romney is the man we need to lead America and we need him now,” Christie said at an afternoon news conference where he announced his support of presidential candidate Mitt Romney. “I know American needs a new course and I want it to be with the person I believe would be the best person to lead the country on that course.”

    Original report N.J. Gov. Chris Christie may have said that he was not going to run for president in 2012, but that did not mean that he would stay away from the presidential race. FOX News reported that Christie is expected to endorse Mitt Romney for president.

    Two NBC News/Marist polls released showed the Romney is currently leading the GOP field in both Iowa and New Hampshire. Christie’s endorsement could aid in Romney’s current standing, as OP donors who intended to back Christie will likely join the Romney campaign, following the actions New Jersey governor.
