Chester puts teen curfew into effect for summer

As of last night, Chester teenagers have a curfew. From now through Aug. 31, everyone under 18 must obey the curfew between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. — with a few exceptions.

Those with jobs or accompanied by a responsible adult family member can skirt the ordinance.

The curfew is a new approach to last year’s state of emergency that affected all residents, and comes with a police detail devoted to writing citations, as the Delaware County Times reports.
