Chester County senator’s legislation seeks to end gassing of euthanized pets

Under a bill introduced this week by Pa. Sen. Andy Dinniman, D-19th, gassing would no longer be an acceptable way to euthanize animals.

Dinniman’s bill, SB1329, calls instead fo injection, with either sodium pentobarbital or one of its derivatives.

And according to the Daily Local, a rally supporting the measure has already been scheduled. Dinniman will bring a 5-year-old beagle to the Nov, 13 rally. Daniel the beagle recently survived a gassing euthanasia attempt in Alabama.
