Cherry Hill Mall, nation’s fist enclosed shopping center east of the Mississippi, turns 50

    Some things you might not have known about the Cherry Hill Mall:

    It’s got underground delivery tunnels, rose out of farmlands, was the first enclosed shopping center east of the Mississippi River and is turning 50.

    In honor of the mall’s 50 anniversary, the Courier-Post has chronicled the shopping center’s history, the people who’ve worked there through the years and its $200 million redevelopment.
