Cedar Park to play ‘I Have a Dream’ speech on Wednesday

In honor of the 50th anniversary of Martin Luther King’s famous speech, Cedar Park will be holding an audio streaming of the “I Have a Dream” speech tomorrow.

Though no post-viewing formal discussion has been planned, neighborhood organizer Algernong Allen wants to encourage attendees to stay and discuss the speech and how to advance current civil rights.

The event, called “March on West Philly,” will be held in the park at 49th Street and Baltimore Avenue at 6:30 p.m and is free and open to the public.
