Cash and assistance for homeless man who returned lawyer’s lost money

The homeless man who returned a lawyer’s lost money last month is being rewarded for his kindness. Pottstown lawyer Robert Stauffer gave John Kavanaugh part of the $1,440 Stauffer lost on a West Chester street.

Stauffer said he also intends to help Kavanaugh, who’s been homeless for more than a decade, assistance in getting off the street.

Kavanaugh found the money on the street and turned it into police. His portion of the cash will be secured in a shelter.
