Cancer survivor talks about being diagnosed in china

Turns out moving to China wasn’t the strangest experience for Susan Conley. It was the cancer she got while there.

When the author moved with her family to China for her husband’s job, she intended to write a memoir. But she didn’t know at the time she’d be writing about cancer.

Doctors at Fox Chase Cancer Center have called her story “inspirational.”Conley will be at FCCC tonight to kick off the center’s new author series and talk more about her book, The Foremost Good Fortune, which she said helped her make sense of her cancer.
