Campbell’s acquires old Sears building as part of office park plan

Campbell Soup Co. announced today its purchase of 1300 Admiral Wilson Blvd. in Camden, bringing the grand total of acreage to 13 in the company’s quest for an office park.
“We’ve always believed that this parcel was critical to having a viable footprint for an office park in the Gateway District,” Campbell’s Vice President of Tax and Real Estate Richard Landers said in a prepared statement.

The latest four-acre purchase includes the city’s old Sears building, and is another step in the Gateway Redevelopment Plan announced more than five years ago.
