Camden on parade

It’s a new day in Camden, and the city is celebrating what officials are billing as its revival with the resurrection of a citywide parade.  The Holiday Parade, long since cancelled, will take place this Saturday at 2:00 PM starting at 3rd and Clinton Streets.

Mayor Dana Redd proclaimed: “I want our children and families to experience the same joy I felt growing up watching the parade with its many wonderful drill teams, choirs and marching bands.”

The parade is sponsored by a number of organizations including Wachovia Bank, Cooper’s Ferry Development Association, Inc., PSE&G, and the Parking Authority of the City of Camden.
