Historic Germantown will host its second annual fundraiser, “By the Book: New Writing About Old Germantown,” from 5 to 7 p.m. on Saturday.
Books to be discussed include “Historic Architecture in Northwest Philadelphia: 1690 to 1930s” by Joseph Minardi, “Faith on the Avenue” by Katie Day, “The Twelve Tribes of Hattie” by Ayana Mathis and “We Is Got Him” by Carrie Hagen.
