Nighttime boat parade and fireworks on the Delaware River Aug 6 (Rescheduled for Aug 7)

(Update: Due to forecasted severe weather for Saturday evening, Festival of Lights has been postponed to same time on Sunday 8/7.

Burlington’s 23rd annual Festival of Lights will again illuminate the Delaware River this Saturday Sunday.

Highlights include a decorated boat parade and fireworks.

Numerous watercraft, festooned with lights, will set off from Curtins’ Wharf restaurant at 8 p.m. and sail on to Doane Academy by the Burlington-Bristol Bridge. The boat parade will make two passes in front of spectators watching from the Burlington Promenade before returning to its starting point.

Fireworks are scheduled to conclude the evening at 9:30 p.m.

Prior to the parade, folks can enjoy live entertainment along the Promenade from local bands, Acoustic Explorer and The Privileged Few. There will also be several food vendors and family-friendly activities, including a bounce house.

Admission and parking are free.

Saturday, Aug. 6, 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. (rain date Sunday, Aug. 7) – Riverfront Promenade Park, Burlington, NJ.
