Bucks County Housing Development Corp. using county allocation to pay taxes

For the second year in a row, the Bucks County Housing Development Corp. paid its taxes late, as it needed a county allocation to cover costs. While the lien has been settled, the nonprofit is still at odds with Commissioner Diane Marseglia, who says there’s too much political patronage at the agency.
The Bucks County Courier Times has the full story, including the argument of the housing corporation’s executive director, Charles Diamond. Diamond says the cost of snow removal and energy supply, coupled with the needs of his low-rent residents, forced the agency to wait for the county allocation before paying taxes.
