Brief brake from baseball: Phillies’ pitcher part of Habitat for Humanity in Delaware

A Phillies pitcher is taking a brief break from baseball to build.

Vance Worley wasn’t on the mound this week in Delaware, where he visited a Habitat for Humanity site in Wilmington.

NewsWorks’ John Mussoni was on hand to see the Phillies pitcher help other volunteers put up the framing of a house at 97 Vandever Street.  Worley not only picked up a hammer but also autographed the very beam he was working on.

Worley says its been hard to watch October baseball.
