Authorities are investigating a late Monday morning bank robbery in Brick.

Shortly before 11 a.m., a white man entered TD Bank on Cedar Bridge Avenue and demanded money from a teller, said Sgt. Neal Pedersen, Brick Police Department spokesman, in a release.

The man then went behind the counter, assaulted the teller, and then fled the scene toward the Mr. Tire store without proceeds, Pedersen said, adding that the suspect jumped the bushes at Mr. Tire and continued to run toward Route 70.

The teller was uninjured, the spokesman said.
