Bernie Wilson, 64

    Bernie Wilson, a baritone member of Harold Melvin &the Blue Notes, died yesterday at age 64. Wilson enjoyed fame for his part in the 1972 R&B hit “If you don’t know me by now”, and the Blue Notes played a role in the Sound of Philadelphia.

    Wilson died at the Kresson View Center in Voorhees, NJ, following a stroke and heart attack. His funeral arrangements are pending.
