Ben Franklin Bridge to close Sunday morning

If you’re scheduling an early trip to or from the Shore Sunday, plan accordingly.

The Ben Franklin Bridge will close at 7:15 a.m. for the annual Tour de Shore. The 65-mile bike race spanning Center City and Atlantic City will cross the bridge around then, closing it to car traffic.

Expect the bridge to reopen around 8:30 a.m. to give the last bike time to pass over the river. The event raises money for police- and fire-related charities. This year’s goal is $200,000.
