Belle begins to refund big events scheduled on ship

    Brett Condon and Rob Zahorchak will get married at the Camden Aquarium.

    It’s not the wedding they planned, but it’s a pretty good substitute for the nuptials they’d scheduled on the now-closed Philadelphia Belle.

    Since the restored riverboat ceased operations late last month, people who’d planned costly, elaborate events have been waiting on answers and refunds.

    In today’s Daily News, columnist Ronnie Polaneczky followed up with folks who had dropped thousands on their weddings and fundraisers only to find the ship won’t sail again.
