A dance instructor from Hockessin is accused of having sexual contact with a 17-year-old Dover student.

Alexander Boitsov, 65, is awaiting extradition from New York City, where he was arrested last week.

The 17-year-old male dance student and his parents reported the incident that allegedly occurred at the Dance Conservatory in Dover two weeks ago. They said Boitsov took the victim to a locker room where he was told to undress. The victim said Boitsov then engaged in sexual contact with him.

The Dover Police Department obtained an arrest warrant and Boitsov was arrested by the U.S. Marshal’s Fugitive Task Force at the Ellison School of Ballet without incident.
