Autopsy for N.J. student found dead at Villanova

Authorities are awaiting autopsy results for a Pennsylvania college student from New Jersey who was found dead in a dorm room this week.

Police and Villanova University officials say 18-year-old sophomore Kinara Patel was found Thursday morning in a dorm room at the suburban Philadelphia school.

School vice president for student John Stack said there were no obvious signs of foul play.

Police tell The Philadelphia Inquirer that Patel is from northern New Jersey. The newspaper reports police said Patel spent Wednesday night out with friends in nearby Bryn Mawr and that alcohol may have been a factor.

An autopsy was to be conducted Friday by the Delaware County medical examiner.
