Authorities are investigating a late Monday afternoon bank robbery in Toms River.

At 4:40 p.m., a white man entered TD Bank at 10 Mule Road, filled out a bank slip demanding money, and presented it to the teller, said Ralph Stocco, Toms River Police Department spokesman.

The suspect, who received an undetermined amount of cash, fled the scene on foot toward the west, Stocco said, adding that the man was wearing a black pea coat and sunglasses.
