August is Immunization Awareness Month in Delaware County

August is Immunization Awareness Month in Delaware County.

The status was proclaimed at last night’s county council meeting, where residents got a peek at the list of immunization recommendations for adults and children.

“With the upcoming opening of schools, this month is an ideal time for residents, especially parents of school children, to determine if they are up-to-date on immunizations,” Radnor Patch quotes quotes Council Chairman Jack Whelan as saying.

Earlier this month, the state Department of Health issued new immunization regulations for kids.
