Podcast of Radio Times program featuring Weavers Way’s David Woo

Weavers Way’s former Board President David Woo appeared on WHYY’s Radio Times June 15, 2012. He was joined by two other guests:

Bill Gessner, a co-op consultant, and Marion Nestle, a health and nutrition professor at New York University. The three were interviewed by guest host Maiken Scott to discuss the success of the food co-op model in America.

In the show, Woo talks about the seven guiding principles behind co-ops and why being member-owned removes the pressure of trying to satisfy shareholders. He also talks about why sometimes you find things cheaper at coops and other items in the same store more expensive than a conventional grocery store.
