Atlantis’ return to Earth marks the end of NASA space shuttle missions

    Atlantis returned to Earth this morning, completing a nearly two-week mission with its crew and marking the end of NASA’s space shuttle missions.

    After delivering more than 9,400 pounds of spare parts, spare equipment and other supplies to the space station during its 5,284,862-mile journey, Atlantis landed in Florida at 5:57 a.m.
