Atlantic City Council votes today on whether mayor gets a raise

    Today’s the day.

Atlantic City Council is set to vote on whether the mayor gets a higher salary. An approval to raise the pay to 1 percent more than the city’s highest paid civilian employee would give Mayor Lorenzo Langford an extra $15,874 next year.
According to the Associated Press, Municipal Judge Bruce Ward makes $117,697. The boost above that would raise Langford’s salary by 15 percent to $118,874.

As reported earlier his month, the ordinance aims to pay the Atlantic City mayor a salary comparable with other cities’ leaders.
