Atlantic City casino wins up 4.2 percent in December

    Luck is on Atlantic City’s side. Numbers released yesterday show total casino win was up 4.2 percent in December 2011.

    David Rebuck, acting director of the New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement says that’s the highest monthly percentage increase since December 2006.

    Table game wins were down 4.3 percent to $72.5 million, but slot machines rose 8.3 percent. to $174.1 million.

     

    Yearly numbers are still down, though. The $3.3. billion in winnings is down 6.9 percent from 2010. Slot wins are down 5.4 percent and tables took a 10.4 percent hit.
